Florida’s efforts to reduce illegal prescription drug deals are paying off and pushing dealers to an old school product, according to the Gainesville Alachua County Drug Task Force.
Task force members from the Gainesville Police Department and Alachua County Sheriff’s Office said their latest major case is evidence that drug dealers are looking for an alternative product to offer and many have found it in high quality marijuana.

In the recent case, which the task force has been working on for the last six months, marijuana was seized while being shipped into North Florida. It was worth up to $40,000 when it arrived and would have been worth even more when it was sold at the street level, investigators said.
I find it extremely difficult to accept that pill pushers are equivalent to marijuana dealers, or that we continue to create a criminal marketplace for marijuana through its prohibition.
I have worked with people who have, among many other illnesses, cancer, melanoma, wasting way disease and arthritis. In every case, even for those who are now dead, this plant helped them a great deal. The primary reasons that there is such resistance to the legality of this herb by big Pharmacological firms, religious right wing theology's and the money crafting generator of the DEA, in the form of forfeiture law is political gain.
